The Full List of Audible Badges (and How to Earn Them)

  • Go to the Badges or Achievements section to see each badge’s current tier—Basic, Silver, or Gold—along with a progress bar.
  • Tap on locked badges to reveal a playful hint (Audible calls it a “magic poem”) that tells you what behavior is required to unlock it.

The Current Badge Controversy: Separating Fact from Fiction

Here’s where things get interesting—and a bit frustrating for badge collectors. While some Audible badges like “Night Owl,” “Weekend Warrior,” and “Collector” are clearly confirmed and visible in the Audible app, there’s an ongoing controversy in the audiobook community about which badges actually exist. The problem? Audible has never published an official, comprehensive list of all available badges, leaving listeners to piece together information from forums, social media, and personal experience.

This information vacuum has led to widespread confusion and the proliferation of “phantom badges.” Take “The Nibbler,” for example—a badge that appears in numerous online guides and is frequently asked about in audiobook forums, yet many users report never seeing it in their actual Audible app. Similarly, badges with names like “Samurai” or “Master Listener” pop up in various discussions, but their existence remains unverified. Some of these may be outdated badges that were retired, renamed versions of current badges, or simply wishful thinking that spread across the internet.

The situation is made more complex by the fact that badge requirements and availability can vary between different Audible marketplaces (US, UK, Canada, etc.), and Audible has made changes over the years—like discontinuing Diamond levels and introducing new badges—without clear announcements. What one user sees in their app might differ from another’s experience, leading to conflicting information online.

That’s why here at Hooked to Books, we’re committed to creating a reliable, visual gallery of only real, verifiable badges that users can actually see and earn in the current Audible app. We’re working to cut through the noise and provide you with accurate, up-to-date information about the badges that truly exist, so you can focus your efforts on achievements that are actually attainable. If you have screenshots of badges we haven’t covered, we’d love to hear from you!

I hope I’ve unraveled the mystery behind Audible Badges in this post. Now that you know what they’re all about, you can start thinking about taking your collection to the next level.

Audible Badge FAQs

Audible Badge FAQs

Q1. What if I uninstall my Audible app or lose my phone? Will I lose my badge rewards too?

Ans:- No, don’t worry. Your Audible Badges are stored in Amazon’s Cloud, so even if you lose your device and have to reinstall the app on a new one, you can pick right back up where you left off.

Q2. Will sharing my Audible library with my friends affect my Audible Badge collection?

Ans:- Absolutely not! Audible encourages all their users to share their library with each other and get inspiration for new great titles, but you don’t have to worry about losing all your hard earned badges! Badges are synced to each person’s individual Audible account and will never be transferred and shared with any other account, even if you share your library.

Q3. Can I view my Audible Badge collection through the Audible website?

Ans:- Unfortunately not. To view and track your badge collection, you must download the Audible app. But don’t worry, it’s totally free for all Audible members.

Q4. How long does it take for badges to unlock after meeting requirements?

Badge unlocking can sometimes be delayed. You may meet the requirements but need to wait a bit before receiving the notification. If a badge doesn’t unlock immediately, try closing and reopening the app, or wait a few hours.

Q5. Do badges vary by marketplace?

Yes, badge collections can vary depending on your Audible marketplace (US, UK, etc.), so you may see slight differences in available badges or requirements.

    • Hi there—and wow, over 200 titles? That’s an epic stack—love it! Thank you for sharing that, and I totally get the disappointment of expecting a badge to pop up and… nothing.

      Let’s troubleshoot it together:

Location probably isn’t the issue. Badges usually hinge on your activity within the site (like comment count or post actions)—they don’t typically change based on geography.

It could be a simple plugin hiccup. Sometimes caching, plugin updates, or conflicts can hold things up. I’ll check our “Stack badge” rules and make sure everything’s firing correctly behind the scenes.

Thanks for flagging it—helping me spot these little glitches makes the site better for all of us! I’ll clear any relevant caches, double-check badge triggers, and let you know what I find. In the meantime, feel free to drop me a note here if anything else seems “off” on your end.

      I’ll keep you posted!

      Warmly,
      HookedToBooks

  1. I was looking at my badges todsy for the first time in probably a year.

Did they get rid of the basic, silver, and gold designs? Mine all appear to be blue and orange.

    • Hey Brett — appreciate you dropping in!

You’re right to notice a shift. Audible hasn’t made a formal announcement, but it looks like many of the older badge tiers (like silver, gold, etc.) aren’t visually distinct anymore. A lot of folks are now seeing just the blue/orange variants — possibly part of a design refresh or simplification on their end.

From what we’ve observed (and from readers like you!), the legacy badges might still exist in the backend, but newer ones seem to lean toward a flatter, color-consistent style. It’s less about the tiered appearance now, and more about the badge type — like ‘Weekend Warrior’ or ‘Repeat Listener’ — rather than its “level.”

We’ll keep an eye on it and update the post if Audible officially phases out the classic badge styles. In the meantime, if you ever see one of the old designs reappear, definitely snap a screenshot and let us know — you’re part of the Audible badge sleuth squad now 😄

Thanks again for reading and commenting!

  2. This is possibly the most up-to-date and easy to read badge FAQ I’ve found, but there have been some changes since it was published. Each level has been upgraded so that the diamond level is gone. Now there’s basic, silver, and gold. There are three new badges (Alexa, Collector, and Sampler), and at least one (Dabbler) has changed to be about listening to different genres. I have the gold and it says it’s for listening to at least 11 different genres.

  3. I have 605 books in my Audible Library and still don’t have the Diamond Stack Badge…. Any idea why? Or how to get credited for it?
