Célie has joined the Chasseurs and is now the first huntswoman; she is also engaged with the captain of the Brotherhood of the Chasseurs, Jean Luc. She is still traumatized due to the events of the previous books and is determined to discover the truth against the monsters. With a new deadly evil rising, she must buckle up to endure more tragedy and dangers. It also includes vampire romance, the favorite of many.

Who doesn’t know about the popular Percy Jackson series written by Rick Riordan?

This book, The Chalice of the Gods, is the sixth addition to the series of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and it serves as a standalone follow-up to the original series.

Percy Jackson is a demigod, the son of a Greek god, Poseidon. In this book, the three heroes from the first book are reunited again for a big challenge. Percy wishes to have a normal and peaceful senior year, but unfortunately, things are not always so simple in his life.

In order to get the necessary letters of recommendation, he must complete three quests assigned by the gods. His initial task is to help regain Zeus’s cupbearer’s goblet, so it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.

Percy, Annabeth, and Grover must find it, but the question is, will they be able to finish this quest in time?

This will be an exciting read for the fans who were awaiting this reunion, and to all the new readers, get ready for a roller coaster ride.

Books of Babel by Josiah Bancroft is an amazing fantasy series. Now, the author is releasing a new book that is set apart from the Babel series, and fans are genuinely thrilled about it.

The team of Hexologists comprises a married couple, Iz and Warren Wilby; the pair deal with magical mysteries. The couple is quite accustomed to helping the people of the city with the resources and abilities they possess.

But they face real challenges when the royal secretary approaches them for help. They are informed that the King is not in a stable condition and might fall into madness if not treated soon. Discovering the secrets buried for years and facing dangers from the anti-royalist gangs and dragons, the Wilbies are tested at an extreme level.

This book has the essence of previous books, which will definitely keep you on the familiar radar, in addition to the unique writing style of Josiah Bancroft.

4. The Fragile Threads of Power by V. E. Schwab

Genre: Gaslamp Fantasy, Adult Fantasy

You must know V. E. Schwab, the best-selling author of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and Shades of Magic series. This year, she is back with her new fantasy book.

A Fragile Threads of Power is the sequel trilogy to the Shades of Magic series set in the world of A Darker Shade of Magic. It will be a trilogy, with the first book releasing this September.

Four magical worlds were connected to the city of London: Red, Grey, White, and Black. But soon tragedy strikes and the magic within the four worlds rises extremely, resulting in the doors of each world sealed for protection.

The magicians who can open the doors lessen over time, with only three Antari left: Kell Maresh of Red London, Holland Vosijk of White London, and Delilah Bard of Grey London. But they have practically disappeared for the last seven years, and a new Antari named Kosika has taken the throne in White London. This sudden shift in powers brings havoc within the realms.

On the other hand, a new character has emerged with extraordinary magical abilities and holds the power to make or break the fate of all the worlds. I believe this book will be added to the favorite fantasy list of many.

5. Find Him Where You Left Him Dead by Kristen Simmons

Find Him Where You Left Him Dead by Kristen Simmons

Genre: Young Adult Fiction, Horror

Find Him Where You Left Him Dead is a new to-be-released book, claimed to be like a dark fantasy Japanese Folklore Jumanji.

Five kids started playing a game four years ago, but unfortunately, only four survived.

Owen, Madeline, Dax, Ian, and Emerson started the game, but Ian never returned. No one knows about his whereabouts, the conclusion derived from the silence of the other four.

They are in their senior year of high school, and the four survivors have barely spoken to each other since the incident of the game. One night, the ghost of Ian visits each of them, asking to play the game again so he can return.

So, the four reunite to play the deadly game known as Meido again and are dragged to the underworlds of Japan, far away from reality. According to the instructions, they have only one night to complete all seven stages, and if they fail, no one will be able to go back to the real world.

The old group of friends, now turned into strangers, must work together to survive the dangerous challenges so they can return home with their long-lost friend, Ian. But this time, will everyone make it out alive? I guess this will be a real adventure-filled read for all.

6. The Navigating Fox by Christopher Rowe

Genre: Fantasy Fiction

The Navigating Fox is a novella written by Christopher Rowe, set in a world where few animals have the ability to speak like humans. The self-aware animals who can communicate are known as “knowledgeable,” whereas the others without this ability are known as “voiceless.”

The only navigating fox of this world is Quintus Shu’al, who is living in disgrace because of his expedition’s failure last year, with only a few surviving from the lot. A new expedition is being assigned to Quintus where he can redeem himself as well as learn the truth of his origins.

Quintus starts this journey with his team but does not have any idea about the obstacles and dangers waiting for him.

The short overview is indeed intriguing and fascinates the readers. I am surely thinking of trying his book, and so should you!

7. Shadow Speaker by Nnedi Okorafor

Shadow Speaker by Nnedi Okorafor

Genre: Science Fiction, Dark Fantasy Fiction

The Shadow Speaker was first published in 2007, and recently, the novel has been expanded and will be re-issued by author Nnedi Okorafor. This book will be followed by another book called Like Thunder. Both these books come under The Desert Magician’s Duology.

This book takes place in 2074 in a postapocalyptic setting, an era tainted with technology and mysterious mysticism. The protagonist, Ejii Ugabe, is the daughter of a cruel politician. At the age of nine, she saw her father’s beheading. After fifteen years, Ejii, with her shadow speaker abilities, goes on a quest to find her father’s killer. But the reason behind the search is unknown.

The book sounds interesting, and the author is awarded for many of her incredible works, making me extra curious and giddy to grab the book.

8. The Salvation Gambit by Emily Skrutskie

This is a new story from the author of the Bloodright Trilogy, The Salvation Gambit. It features a crew of con women, including Murdock, Hark, Bea, and Fitz.

Hark is the game planner, Murdock is the hacker, Bea is the fearless driver, and Fitz is the sweet talker, all four forming a group known for impossible heists, payoffs, rivalries, and more, with a history of never getting caught.

Until now!

They are caught in an AI ship called Justice, who considers himself equal to God. It has its eyes on Murdock specifically. Murdock has always admired Hark, but on the ship, her beliefs are completely changed. All four try to escape the situation and are also separated in between.

The story has a lot more stored for the readers, and it seems like a good sci-fi read.

9. Black River Orchard by Chuck Wendig

Black River Orchard by Chuck Wendig

Genre: Horror, Thriller, Science Fiction, Fantasy

Are you familiar with the best-selling author of The Book of Accidents and Wanderers? The author is back with a new book, Black River Orchard.

The story is based in a town called Harrow. The town has an orchard where seven unusual trees grow apples with very dark red skin. Once you eat these apples, it’s difficult to stop the cravings. The apples make the people stronger and vital, but soon, the fruit engulfs them in a darker energy.

The people of the town have consumed these apples, and now things are starting to take a dark turn. With the town’s deep secrets and the entry of a stranger who knows more about the place than the residents, what more is there to come?

I guess it will be a fun read with this kind of distinctive plot delivered for the readers.
