Follow my Book Blog Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View!
The question this week is:
Do you judge a book by its cover?
Unfortunately, yes I do. I know I shouldn't but I can't help it. I'm a sucker for a pretty cover. I know I shouldn't be like that though. Let's take Nightshade and Wolfsbane for instance. I LOVE the original covers and I love the story - the old cover is what drew me in and made me want to read it. If I would see the new cover in the story without knowing how amazing it is I wouldn't give it a second though.

I'm a new follower via Follow Friday. I think it's really interesting how just changing the cover of a book can change who becomes interested in it. See my FF answer here.
You aren't the only one! I think a lot of us love the pretty covers. I usually kick myself after putting off a book with a cover I didn't like to end up loving it! I'm already a follower. My FF is at Coffee Table Reviews
hi new follower here
I think covers are the first start of a amazing book
whats your favorite cover?

I think it is perfectly normal and everyone seems to do it. I think the big different is how much weight people give the cover. For me the cover isn't enough.
I looooved the cover for Nightshade too! It's what drew me in as well. Although I must admit that I do like the new cover for Nightshade as well, I like the wolf overlaying Calla's face. Wolfsbane...eh, both are okay I guess. The first one was a little prettier, but I like the darker look of the new one as well!

Jessica@a GREAT read
I feel the same way about the Nightshade covers. I loved the old ones. I'm not sure the new ones would have peaked my interest enough to learn more about them.

I think we can all agree that even the most beautiful book cover can't sell a book if the writing's not there. Book cover art may, at best, help steer me in the book's direction (especially if I'm in a book store) but it's not going to hypnotize me into buying it right then and there.
I expound on all the marketing qualities of a good book. Just follow me back to my book blog - http://www.howardsherman.net
Thank God it's Follow Friday!?
